Meet the Owner – Skip Daugherty

Skip was born and raised in Brunswick, Maryland, a small town located on the Potomac River in Frederick County. As long as he can remember he had a passion for dogs. Whether it was a Police K9, a service dog, or a family pet, Skip had always been impressed by a dog's unconditional love and devotion for their owner.

After graduating high school, Skip started his own business selling, installing and servicing Dog Guard pet containment systems as a sub-contractor in Frederick County MD. In 2007, he purchased the franchise rights for Frederick, Montgomery and Howard Counties in Maryland. For the past 20 years, he has had the pleasure of working with countless dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments all over Maryland. He takes great satisfaction in providing people with peace of mind regarding the safety of their pets.
